Early departure from Marrakesh heading in the direction of the beautiful fields of olive trees. Continue to the famous Ouzoud waterfalls, approximately 110 meters high, constituting one of the most spectacular natural beauty spots in Morocco. The surrounding countryside offers red cliffs, oleander, and doves, and, if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some Barbary apes. Bird-watchers will enjoy a trip to the waterfalls, and walkers can enjoy the area at any time of year.
Lunch can be had at one of the delicious restaurants in Ouzoud, surrounded by lime trees, or you can enjoy Moroccan specialties and fresh-squeezed orange juice at one of the many cafes along the terraces on the path to the falls. A short walk will bring you to the top of the falls, where you can see small and constantly active mills.
Hotel/riad pickup in Marrakech. Depart by air-conditioned vehicle.
Arrive at Ouzoud area. Short stop at viewpoint near top of falls.
Begin descent on foot to mid-level/look-out points, possibly to base of falls. Watch monkeys, take photos.
River-side café or local restaurant (often optional/at your expense) overlooking the falls. Free time to relax, maybe swim or take boat ride.
More time to explore the area, hike back up, browse small stalls/cafés. Depart for Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Arrival back in Marrakech (depending on traffic).
