This 2-day tour is designed for travelers who have limited time but still want to experience Morocco’s desert landscapes, mountain scenery and culture. Starting from Marrakech, you’ll travel south through the Atlas Mountains to Zagora, have a camel trek and overnight in a desert camp, then return the next day via scenic routes. It’s a relatively compact itinerary that fits well for clients staying only a short time in the region.
This tour gives travelers a taste of Morocco’s varied landscapes — from the bustling medina of Marrakech, up into high mountain passes, into palm-filled valleys, and finally into the serene desert sands of Zagora. The itinerary balances driving time with key stops, cultural visits, and a memorable desert experience (camels, camp, stars). For clients short on time, it offers a very effective “desert escape” without the longer travel required for deeper Sahara areas (e.g., Merzouga). The overnight desert camp adds a special highlight: dinner, music, camp-fire, and a starry sky make it more than just a drive.
Morning pick-up from hotel/riad in Marrakech (around 7:00-8:00 AM).
Drive across the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass (altitude approx 2,260 m) with photo stops.

Camel ride back (or leave camp) and begin return journey. Drive back via Draa Valley, possibly stop in Ouarzazate (film studios, Kasbah Taourirt).
